Katrin takes you to Gerstruben - a mountain farming village from the 16th century that is now a listed building. The old wooden houses, scarred by the sun and up to 500 years old, are an experience in themselves. The outward route leads through the Hölltobel - natural mountain paths with viewing platforms high above the gorge. A real Alpine experience, but also a challenging trail: ankle-high mountain boots with tread soles, sure-footedness and a minimum head for heights are important. The way back is either via the road or the Rautweg trail - with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. A total of around four hours' walking time, with around 350 meters of ascent and descent.
Bring something to drink and some change for a refreshment stop.
