About the artist Andreas Furtwängler:

Andreas is a longtime friend of the Eder family. He is one of the surrealists of the present day and has caused a worldwide sensation with his imposing, oversized steel constructions. Perhaps you know the giant spider at the Kristallhütte or have already discovered our giant beetles and butterflies in the garden, at the bar and in the Green Lounge in the coolnest. Born in Valencia/Venezuela in 1969, he is a versatile artist who has been enriching the art world with his impressive creativity and passion as both a sculptor and a painter since the age of 20. His painting is a rich symphony of colors, emotions and amazing craftsmanship. He used to show his masterful ability in the photorealistic and surrealistic style, where he blurred the boundaries between dream and reality. Today he has embarked on an exciting journey of creative evolution, painting in a fascinating mixed media pop art style. His works reflect Furtwängler's deep observation of society, while at the same time working with playful imagination and a touch of irony. The Pop Art aesthetic serves as a language for him to break up and reorganize the world around him into vivid fragments, holding up a mirror and inviting the viewer to look beyond the obvious. Since becoming a member of the Landesverband Bildender Künstler in 2009, Andreas E. Furtwängler has established a significant presence in the art community. His works have been shown in various exhibitions and galleries, inspiring and delighting a wide audience. Find out more in his video.
