The Mittersill town cross-country ski trail

From the 2022/2023 winter season, there will now be a new town cross-country ski trail in Mittersill. The almost 2-kilometre-long trail is ideal for newcomers and cross-country skiers. Thanks to its location in the town center of Mittersill, it is easily accessible and therefore ideal for first attempts on the trail. But the town cross-country ski trail is also perfect for hobby cross-country skiers who want to do a lap in the evening, for example. Conveniently, the trail is illuminated daily until 21:00. The start is at Kreuzanger, right next to the Dr. Haas dental surgery. There is also a parking area right next to it.

The Hochmoor cross-country ski trail

Cross-country skiing, enjoying nature and the view - all at the same time? You can only do this on the Hochmoorloipe at almost 1,200 m above sea level. However, the Hochmoorloipe at Pass Thurn is not only recommended when the snow in the valley is scarce. On the high plateau next to the Panoramabahn cable car, it leads through the naturally protected landscape of the Wasenmoos. If there is enough snow, there are even several variants to choose from, which attracts particularly demanding cross-country skiers.

High-altitude training on the "mountain trail" Resterhöhe

The high-altitude trail on the Resterkogel was first opened in winter 2020 / 2021 and offers a completely new experience. The panorama lift takes you high up and once you reach the top, a classic and a skating trail await you. Cross-country skiers love the high-altitude trail on the Resterkogel due to the guaranteed snow. The numerous huts and mountain restaurants have something to suit all tastes - from down-to-earth to classy, everything is on offer.
