Description
In case of bad weather, you can only take the shortcut of the standard route from the bus stop on Plätzwiesen straight ahead along the hiking trail to the Dürrensteinhütte and from there down into the valley to Schluderbach.
If it is not possible to do even this short hike without ascents in altitude of about 2 1/2 hours, you can take the public bus #444 or a taxi to the Popena alpine hut next to the Misurina main road below Monte Piano. From this alpine hut, take a left in an easterly direction along the Dolomite Höenweg #3 to Forcella Alto and from Forcella di Mezzo, 1908 m, hike through the forest to the small mountain lake Lago Antorno south of the Three Peaks.
