The magic of a mountain lake

We take a cab from Lanersbach to the Hobalm. This alp lies below the Geiseljoch, an early pasture for the cattle of the Frauenchiemsee monastery. We hike along the Hobarbach stream on a forest road to the rustic Vallruckalm. There we enjoy the snack we have brought with us and enjoy the panoramic view out of the valley. We then make our way to the Eiskarsee lake, which is often frozen over well into spring. After descending to the Vallruckalm, we make our way back via the Nederjoch - with its countless alpine roses - and the Nasse-Tux-Alm, before stopping for refreshments at the Geiselhöfe. The cab will take us back to Lanersbach.
