The Steinerne Tor is an alpine pass in the Rofan Mountains, located at 1,955 hm. It is formed by a striking notch in the rocky ridge connecting Klobenjoch and Streichkopf.
We take the hotel shuttle to the valley station of the Rofan Cable Car in Maurach. This takes us up to the starting point of our hike at 1,840 hm. First, we’ll follow the Panorama Hiking Trail to the Dalfaz Alm at 1,693 hm, where we’ll enjoy a magnificent view of Lake Achensee. Above the Dalfaz Alm, the red mountain trail leads up to the Steinernes Tor at 1,955 hm. From there, we hike downhill via the Kotalm Hochleger to the alpine huts of the Kotalm Mitterleger and Niederleger and back down into the valley.
