Experience a dream landscape and a play of colors of nature, from the lush green glides the eye from the valley to the glittering white of the glacier giants. The meeting point for this tour is the large parking lot at the sports field in Goldrain. We drive together in our own car to Mals in the upper Vinschgau Valley. We start our mountain hike at the end of the village and reach the Oberwaal after a pleasant ascent. The tour leads us through forests and open clearings, offering us a panorama in a class of its own time and again, always with King Ortler (3,905m), the highest mountain in the whole of Tyrol, in sight. After a rest on a magnificent panoramic plateau (take food and drink from your own rucksack), we take a leisurely walk along the Vinschger Höhenweg trail until we descend via an unmarked forest path to the lodge of the small "Pflonzgorten SOLIS" snack station, where we stop for a bite to eat. We take the Waalweg trail back to the starting point of this tour.
