This is not only due to its prominent location against the backdrop of the impressive mountain panorama; it can also be described as a rural Baroque masterpiece. The core of the church dates back to the Middle Ages, and it has been rebuilt several times throughout its history. But it is not only the history of this house of worship that is impressive—its valuable furnishings are equally remarkable, such as the Romanesque processional cross from the first half of the 13th century or the late Gothic altarpiece.
