Description
With its 18,000 hectares, South Tyrol is the largest contiguous fruit-growing area in Europe. Six billion apples are produced here every year. Lana is the largest and at the same time one of the oldest fruit-growing municipalities in the region, making it particularly well suited for a museum presentation on the topic of fruit cultivation.
Across an exhibition area of 2,000 m² and through 60 display panels, the history of fruit cultivation and harvesting—an economic sector of great importance for the region—is presented. The museum, opened in 1990, also uses modern technologies to provide an engaging visitor experience.
From April 8 to May 27 and from July 1 to October 22, the museum offers guided tours on Mondays at 4:00 PM and Wednesdays at 9:00 AM. No reservation is required.
