Mountain Day: "Gsieser Törl" (2.205m) - way 2000 - "Hörneggele" (2.127m)

Mountain adventure day:

Today we are going on a special tour:

we start from the Talschlußhütte, from where we hike up trail no. 49 to the Gsieser Törl:

the Gsieser Törl, with its old finance barracks, marks the border between Italy and Austria with boundary stones.

The source of the Gsieser Bach stream and old smuggling stories give this place a mystical atmosphere.

From here, we continue along the beautiful Almweg 2000 high-altitude trail: sometimes uphill, sometimes downhill, sometimes straight ahead, and always with a view of our beautiful valley and the Pragser Dolomites.

We also pass beautiful alpine huts along the way: Weissbachalm, Verbon, Aschtalm, Pfinnalm until we reach the majestic summit cross of the Hörneggele at 2,127 m.

From here, the trail descends and our Hotel Quelle awaits us for some well-deserved relaxation.
