Details

The Trümmelbach Falls are unique in Europe with their ten glacier waterfalls inside the mountain, accessed by a tunnel lift. The Trümmelbach alone drains the mighty glacier walls of the Eiger (3,970 metres), Mönch (4,099 metres) and Jungfrau (4,158 metres) with up to 20,000 litres of water per second from its 24 square kilometre catchment area, half of which is covered with snow and ice. The Jungfrau-Aletsch area has been included in the UNESCO World Natural Heritage List. The Trümmelbach is listed in the "Federal Inventory of Landscapes and Natural Monuments of National Importance". A great excursion with an impressive experience.
