This year, well-known professional soccer teams will once again hold their training camps in Schruns-Tschagguns. A very special milestone is coming up in July 2026: The top German Bundesliga club SC Freiburg will be setting up its training camp at the soccer stadium in Aktivpark Montafon for the 20th time. This impressive, long-standing partnership underscores the region’s first-class quality.

SC Freiburg is heading to the Montafon with its head held high and plenty of momentum. The team is coming off an absolutely record-breaking season, in which it sensationally reached the final of the UEFA Europa League as well as the semifinals of the DFB Cup. In addition to intensive fitness and tactical training sessions, the Breisgau-based team is taking advantage of the Montafon’s magnificent natural scenery and mountain landscape to recharge their batteries for the challenges ahead. For two decades, the excellent infrastructure, personalized on-site support, and optimal conditions have ensured that this top-tier club can prepare perfectly for the new season here.

Austrian World Cup Hero on Site

A special highlight for all local fans: Austrian national team player and newly crowned World Cup hero Philip Lienhart will join the team directly on July 27, 2026, following his well-deserved special leave, and will be on site in the Montafon.
