Sustainability – an ongoing process

As a modern family-run business, we place great importance on the responsible use of resources. In 2021, we became the first hotel in Germany to be awarded the EU Ecolabel (European Union’s environmental label)!

Environmental Sustainability:

• Construction: Use of local materials and regional companies, green roofs to blend in with nature.

• Energy: Thermal insulation, combined heat and power plant, LED lighting, heat recovery.

• Green Choice: No daily towel service

• E-mobility: Charging stations, rental of electric cars and e-bikes for guests and employees.

Social Sustainability:

• Long-term employment: No seasonal workers, excellent staffing policy.

• Regional products and suppliers whenever possible

• Partnership with Hohenfried e.V.

Economic Sustainability:

• Investments: Continuous development to remain attractive to guests and employees

• Efficient management: Sustainable use of resources for long-term success.
