Experiencewood with all your senses. On the guided tour, visitors not only have the opportunity to experience the fascinating technical equipment of one of the most modern and economical biomass heating power plants in Europe.
You are also invited to sharpen your senses to the omnipresent natural product wood. Via the forecourt designed by Lois and Franziska Weinberger, one enters the reception room, receives an audio guide and begins the guided tour of the BioMasseHeizKraftWerk.
From the presentation of the award-winning film HolzLeben in the cinema, you enter a showroom that demonstrates the history of wood in an innovative and educational way. From here, the visitor goes to the center of the technology: through the impressive generator and turbine room into the boiler house and the exhaust air purification system.
On 16 screens, the visitor receives important information on CO2 emissions, climate change, etc. The tour continues into the pelletizing area and silo room. Independently of the guided tour, the very instructive film HolzWerk - "the way of the log" can be viewed for a fee during the usual opening hours. The Garden of the Air, situated at a height of 16 meters, offers an impressive 360° panoramic view at the end of the tour.
In the viewBAR you can reflect on what you have seen and heard while enjoying culinary delicacies. The FeuerWerk also offers a variety of events such as exhibitions, concerts and readings throughout the year.
