Tour on the Plose

Starting point: top station of the Plose cable car

Destination: valley station of the Plose cable car

The mountain bike tour starts at the valley station of the Plose cable car (included with the Brixencard) At the mountain station begins the ascent to the Plose hut and a little further to the Telegraph. This is followed by a very long, partly technical descent down to Brixen. There are some tricky spots that only very good bikers complete riding, for most bikers applies here: A short push is the better option. From the Telegraph, trail no. 6 leads directly on the grade north to the Leonharder Kreuz and very curvy down to the Plosescharte. From here in a few minutes on a somewhat easier path down to the Ochsenalm (refreshment stop). A few meters on the goods road down and before the first bend turn left into the Brixner Höhenweg (marking 30). Follow this trail for about 1.5 km uphill, then downhill overall, but with short counter ascents, always just along the tree line to the south. After about 3.4 km, take a sharp right onto trail no. 4 and follow it through the forest, in some narrow hairpin bends, in some blocked sections, down to the valley station of the Plose cable car.
