Description

Drive to Schattwald. Wearing headlamps, we hike along the mountain trail to the summit. At the summit cross, we wait for the first rays of sunlight and hope for few clouds on the horizon. Descent into the valley.

Meeting point: Hiking trailhead in front of the hotel

Walking time: 4.5 hours

Elevation gain: 750 meters

Difficulty: Only for experienced hikers in good physical condition

Hiking gear

Ankle-high hiking boots, hiking clothing, backpack, rain gear, sunglasses, sunscreen, water.

Free rental of rain ponchos and hiking poles at the front desk. You can purchase a water bottle for €5 at the front desk.
