Outside the gates of Neuschwanstein Castle and Hohenschwangau

lies the Alpsee in the middle of a dreamlike scenery!

From the parking lot in Hohenschwangau, follow the signs to "Alpsee". You will get directly to the shore and from there start the tour through the forest path lined with mixed forest. On the way, you will pass wooden bridges and footbridges from which you will have great views of the two royal castles of Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein. When the sun shines, the lake glitters between the high rock faces in a variety of colors.

The circumnavigation takes about 1.5 hours.
