Fireplace and heating

If it's too cold, you can light a fire in the fireplace. The Volg supermarket sells wood. Alternatively, bergkultur will be happy to supply you with a basket of wood. Caution: It heats up very quickly! If the smoke does not escape, please use the handle at the top and bottom of the fireplace to regulate the ventilation.

After use: Leave the ashes in the fireplace. Do not throw them in the waste garbage can (fire hazard!). The next day, when it has cooled down completely, you can empty the ashes into the blue (GVG) metal garbage can located in the oil tank room in the basement.

You also have the option of heating via a separate heater. There are 2 thermostats for this. One is located upstairs in the hallway and the other in the bathroom downstairs. There is a small oil stove on which you can open the flap. Behind it you will find the 2nd thermostat.
