From Kreuztal at the Plose to the Rossalm Starting and finishing point: Kreuztal From Kreuztal on foot, follow the signs "Wanderweg" (hiking trail) and "Rossalm" (start of trail a few steps below the cable car mountain station) on the wide, well-rolled trail in a very slightly ascending and finally level traverse of the south-exposed snow slopes eastwards to the Rossalm (2200 m, alpine guesthouse); from Kreuztal just under 1 hour. The return to the starting point is on the trail described; walking time somewhat shorter. Alternative: return via a gently sloping and well-rolled trail, marked no. 14, below the ski slopes to the top station of the cable car.
Stöffl hut on the Villanderer alpine pasture Starting and finishing point: Gasser Hut The starting point of the snowshoe hike is the large car park near the Gasser Hut. From here you trudge next to the toboggan run, following trail 15 through the forest and then over deeply snow-covered alpine meadows in about 1:30 hours to the Stöffl Hut. Continue on trail 15A in a northerly direction to the Gfohler Alm. Here you follow trail 1A further in a westerly direction and after about 800 metres, near the Scholer Bild Herz Jesu, turn left onto trail 1 in a southerly direction. Turn left at the next crossroads. The snowshoe hike then leads over the Rafuschgelalm through mountain pine fields and an enchanting winter landscape to the Marzuner Schupfe and further down into the tree zone. After crossing a stream, you will find yourself back on a tracked path. Then follow trail marker no. 15 back to the starting point.
Geisler Alm in Villnöss Starting and finishing point: Ranui car park The tour to the Geisler Alm starts at the Ranui car park. Take the forest road 28 to the Gschnaggenhardter Bachl, turn left onto the 34A and then continue on the 34 to the Geisler Alm. Return a short distance on the 34 and then turn right down to the Schwarzenbach. Out of the valley, right on the 33B and left on the 33 back to the car park.
