Description
We take a snowcat from Berggasthof Pederü (1,500 m) up into the impressive karst landscape of the Fanes-Sennes-Prags Nature Park, reaching the Senneshütte at 2,126 m. From there, we begin our snowshoe hike, surrounded by the striking peaks of Seekofel, Monte Sella di Sennes and Hohe Gaisl. A particularly rewarding circular hike leads us back to the Senneshütte.
After a cozy stop at the mountain hut (tip: the best Kaiserschmarren ever!), we hike back down to Pederü in approximately 1 hour and 50 minutes. If snow conditions are insufficient, the ascent to the Senneshütte will be done on foot. Suitable for children aged 14 and over.
Elevation gain by snowcat: approx. 500 m
Elevation gain on foot: approx. 200 m ascent and 550 m descent
Transfer by hotel bus (limited seats, individual travel possible).
Cost for the snowcat ride: € 20.00 per person.
Minimum number of participants: 3 people.
