While in other places you are already comfortably tucked up in bed and enjoying a well-earned rest, in Salzburg's Lungau region at night you can experience a unique natural spectacle that is unfortunately forgotten by many people these days. The night in Salzburger Lungau is extremely dark, making it particularly easy to see the stars. Nowhere else in Austria is there so little stray light and such a clear view of the universe.
Together with the biosphere park's "Dark Sky" ambassador Othmar Ortner, you can hike around the mystical Prebersee lake at night - in complete peace and quiet - and benefit not only from the unforgettable and romantic nature experience but also from the young hiking guide's impressive knowledge of astronomy.
