140 years of the Grape Festival – a milestone worth celebrating😊

A South Tyrolean tradition since 1886 to celebrate harvest thanksgiving. The Merano Grape Festival is a weekend full of culture and culinary delights – perfect for locals and guests, folk music enthusiasts, food lovers, wine connoisseurs, and anyone curious to discover the best of the region. The grand highlight? A spectacular parade through the heart of Merano.

The festival parade will start on October 18, 2026, at 2:15 PM at the Vinschgauer Gate.

Throughout the weekend, you can enjoy numerous performances by the Lajen “Schuhplattler” Group, the Algund “Goasslschnöllerinnen”, the Merano Untermais Folk Dance Group and a variety of brass bands from South Tyrol, Austria, and Germany.
