The Tour of Austria is celebrating its 75th edition in 2026 and St. Johann in Salzburg is taking part as a stage location for the 16th time.
On Friday, July 10, 2026, the third stage leads from Lienz through the Felbertauern Tunnel towards St. Johann in Salzburg.
The third of a total of five stages starts on Friday, July 10, 2026, at the main square in Lienz.
After a long climb towards the Felbertauern Tunnel, the route leads through the Pinzgau region into the Pongau region: via Schwarzach, through Bahnhofstraße in St. Johann, on to Bischofshofen and over the Buchberg into the Fritztal valley.
The route then runs via Eben, Altenmarkt and Wagrain before heading back through St. Johann's Bahnhofstraße towards the finale.
From there it is only a short but decisive section to the finish in St. Johann's Alpine village.
