From September 10 to 26, 2026, experience KLANGSPUREN SCHWAZ 2026—one of the most exciting festivals for new music in Tyrol, now in its 33rd edition and themed around the striking motto “Love is Louder.” Inspired by the artwork of the same name by U.S. artist Sam Durant, the festival presents a diverse program in which music is experienced as protest, seduction, comfort, and a powerful symbol of togetherness. Under the artistic direction of Marco Blaauw, the program spans a wide range of genres, from electronic music to new and unfamiliar soundscapes, early music, Persian traditions, and world premieres. A variety of formats create extraordinary listening spaces—from club concerts to intimate settings for extremely quiet music—and invite audiences to discover art from new perspectives. For over 30 years, KLANGSPUREN SCHWAZ has stood for encounter, outreach, and artistic research, while the Future Lab offers young musicians and creatives additional inspiration. Among the special highlights of 2026 are the sound walk, the popular “Rent a Musician” living room concerts, and the music theater production “Codeborn” by Zara Ali in collaboration with the Munich Biennale and the Tyrolean State Theater. The result is a festival experience that opens up contemporary music to a broad, curious audience in an inspiring, surprising, and accessible way.
