Map & route mountain hike Braies Lake

You can hike up to the Pragser Wildsee lake by bus or on foot on the Via Alpina trail #7. On the left side of the lake, past the boat rental hut in the water and along the hiking trail, you will circle the "Pearl of the Dolomites" in front of the imposing massif of the Seekofel, 2,810m. On the south side of the lake, follow the Riedweg #19 along the same path as the day before to the Grünwaldalm, where it is worth stopping for lunch. From this alpine pasture you walk through the lake forest via the steep trail #22a to the Schwarzberg and down via the former cheese hut "Pragser Kaser" with wonderful views down into the Pragser valley and the Dolomite peaks in this region. From the hut - first briefly via trail #61 - then via #20 past the Riedl farm to the Pragser Wildsee hotel and bus stop or on the Via Alpina trail #7 out into the Pragser Tal valley.
