HIKE THE VALLEY Hiking Festival from October 5, 2026, to October 10, 2026.

We’re eagerly looking forward to this year’s second edition: The Kleinwalsertal Hiking Festival invites you once again from October 5–10, 2026, to a full week of activity, enjoying nature, and shared experiences.

Look forward to a unique hiking experience again this year! As a participant in Hike the Valley, you’ll also benefit from numerous hiking-themed activities throughout the entire hiking festival week!

On the day of the event, an exclusive starter gift and regional snack stations along the marked route await you. Photo spots ensure unforgettable memories, while the family program—featuring a Burmi hiking stamp book on the Bronze route—offers a highlight for the little ones as well. At the finish line, all finishers will receive an exclusive finisher pin, a certificate, and a souvenir photo!

On three routes, you can enjoy a day full of nature experiences, camaraderie, and the joy of hiking together with other hiking enthusiasts. At the finish line, in front of the Walserhaus in Hirschegg, a varied supporting program awaits everyone—the ideal opportunity to round off the day together. Refreshments will be plentiful, and with musical entertainment and a special children’s program, everything you could wish for after an unforgettable day in the mountains will be provided.

The Hike the Valley event takes place on Saturday, October 10, as the highlight of the 2nd Hiking Festival in the Kleinwalsertal. The Hike the Valley hiking event is about completing the designated route on foot and independently. The focus of Hike the Valley is on the nature experience, the sense of community, and the personal challenge. It is not a competition among participants; therefore, there is no timing. With 3 different routes, everyone can find a suitable option to participate in the event and experience the special atmosphere of a sporting event—but without the pressure to perform or the stress of racing.

All participants are given a festive welcome at the finish line and receive an exclusive Hike the Valley pin and a certificate as recognition for their achievement. Even during the week, event participants can take advantage of great hiking-related offers. Whether it’s guided hikes at attractive prices, special promotions at our local sports retailers, or yoga sessions to help you unwind during your hiking week in Kleinwalsertal.
