This medieval town on the lush banks of the Inn River bears the marks of every era. A particular highlight is the townscape with its townhouses dating from the 16th to the 19th centuries, especially the late-Baroque Silberzeile on the Upper Town Square, surrounded by a largely preserved city wall with several medieval city gates.
