Almabtriebe Filzmoos

Almabtrieb in Filzmoos, where tradition and customs mix. In autumn the cattle is driven from the alpine pastures into the valley. The cattle are festively decorated with wreaths, branches and ribbons. Especially fascinating are the large bells that are hung around the animals. In case of a misfortune in the family or with an animal, the livestock wears a mourning pinnacle, a lamenting bush or no ornament at all.
