Mountain hike on the Fuchsberg

We take a leisurely hike along the Merano High Mountain Trail from Katharinaberg in Schnalstal Valley to the Unterstell farms on Naturnser Sonnenberg. The meeting point for this tour is the parking lot at the sports field in Latsch. We drive together in our own car (approx. 15 minutes) to the valley station of the Unterstell cable car in Naturno. The bus takes us together to the Schnalstal valley, our starting point for this mountain hike. From here we hike along the Meraner Höhenweg, one of the most beautiful hiking trails in the entire Alpine region, which is located in the Texelgruppe Nature Park. Up and down, we pass mountain farms clinging to the steep mountain slopes high above the Schnalstal Valley. At lunchtime, we will stop off at a cozy mountain inn and indulge ourselves with regional delicacies. After this refreshment, we head downhill to the Unterstell viewing platform. Here, anyone who can overcome their fear of heights can enter the 50-metre-high and 16-metre-long viewing platform and enjoy the wonderful panorama at lofty heights. After this experience, it's another 10 minutes downhill to the cable car, which takes us directly to the starting point at the parking lot.
