Description
The Fane Fest is one of the highlights of the summer season and a popular gathering place for locals and visitors alike. After the traditional outdoor Mass, visitors can enjoy regional specialties such as dumplings, Kasnockn, Tirtlan, and strudel. Musical entertainment, Schuhplattler dancing, and a varied children’s program create a great atmosphere and make the festival a special experience for the whole family.
Directions
If you’re traveling by car, drive to the end of the Valsertal valley. There you’ll find the Fane Alm parking lot. A shuttle bus (for a fee) will take you from the parking lot to the Fane Alm.
If you’re traveling on foot, you can reach the Fane Alm from Vals via the Milchsteig trail. Experienced hikers can also take the Jochtalbahn to the Jochtal mountain restaurant at 2,007 meters and hike to the Fane Alm via the Rotensteiner Höhenweg.
