Biodiversity and alpine cultural landscape
The hike begins with a guided tour of the Schrofenmühle mill, which is over 100 years old and has since been renovated, where we can watch flour being milled. We continue along the varied cultural landscape trail through the mountain world of this sunny village. Past the GH Steinerkogel, it goes through meadows and alleys into the sun-drenched mountain forest. In easy ups and downs we reach the district Ritzl and back to the renovated Mitterstall. Here we visit the nature park exhibition Kulturlandschaft.Welten. On this voyage of discovery along the Kulturlandschaftsweg (Cultural Landscape Trail), you will get an intensive impression of life and farming in this extreme cultural landscape characterized by steep slopes and its unique biodiversity.
