Guided hike from the Zillertal Alps Nature Park
On the shoulders of the giant
We take the Gerlosstein cable car up to the starting point of our panoramic tour. In front of us lies the bold Gerlossteinwand. Our hike leads on the shoulders of the giant through Krummholz and across lush alpine meadows to the picturesque Heimjöchl. Slowly, the Brandberger Kolm (2,700 m) comes into our field of vision; it is the striking local mountain of the nature park community of Brandberg. On the way to the second crossing, the Brandberger Joch, we are treated to stunning views of the Zillertal and Tux Alps. After a stop at the Kolmhaus, we descend via the forest path to the mountain village of Brandberg.
