Description
Lake Hopfen was formed during the last ice age by the Lechtal glacier. Due to its lakeside promenade, Hopfen is also called the Allgäu Riviera and is therefore a popular destination for young and old.
First you cycle along the Forggensee cycle path to Füssen to the Festspielhaus. Then you cycle along the road up to the roundabout from where you take the cycle path to Hopfen. At the village Eschach you turn left before the bus stop to the Hopfensee. From here you can cycle around the Hopfensee in both directions and return to Schwangau via the same route.
