Description

From Bormio take the cable car to Bormio 2000 and then to Bormio 3000 (inquire about opening at tourist offices). The route (very technical for bikers) starts westbound on sent. S541 and descends to Bei Laghetti and then to Bocca di Profa.

Initially the trail is wide but in places you walk on large boulders.

At Bei Laghetti the trail becomes narrower but with a less bumpy bottom.

Here you can stop and observe the surrounding mountains and the shining blue of the small lakes (about ten in all) due to sedimentation.

At Bocca di Profa you take the sent. S518 steep in places, left, until you reach the Sobretta Mountains serratory road. Continuing on the sent. S543.2 you will easily reach Bormio 2000, passing by Pozzo dell'Acqua and Fontanalonga.

The road is unpaved and carriageable, characterized by insignificant ups and downs.
