Hike to the Kolmhaus *

Guided Hike to the Brandberger Kolmhaus

A beautiful, varied hike in the upper Zillertal with magnificent views.

From Brandberg, the well-marked trail leads first through green meadows, then along cart tracks, and finally up scenic mountain trails.

At the destination, the Brandberger Kolmhaus awaits you at 1,845 m—since the hut is currently still closed, we ask that you bring your own snacks and plenty of drinks.

Please remember to bring hiking poles—if you’d like, you can borrow them for free at the front desk.

Difficulty: red (challenging)

Total walking time: 3.5 hours

Trail length: approx. 8 km | 780 m elevation gain (600 m of which is steep uphill)

Trail conditions: Meadow – cart track – mountain trail

We’ll travel together by hotel bus to Brandberg, the starting point of the hike. The first 7 people to register can ride on the hotel bus; we ask everyone else to follow in their own cars.

Please be sure to wear sturdy shoes, appropriate clothing, and bring plenty of drinks and a snack.
