When the smell of freshly baked bread wafts over Obergummer, it's baking day again at the Untereggerhof. Gottfried, the farmer and host, heats up the old stone oven and takes you on a little journey back to the time when baking bread was still real manual work.
From mid-May to the beginning of October, you can experience live every two weeks on Fridays how crispy farmhouse bread is made from flour, water and lots of experience. And who knows - maybe Gottfried will even let you in on a secret or two of his recipe.
Of course, you can also try it: warm from the oven, fragrant and pure - that's how South Tyrol tastes with every bite.
