From hut to hut on three weekends in July - folk music, hut fun & pure tradition

The Hochkönig Roas is one of the most popular summer alpine hikes in the country and attracts countless guests to Maria Alm, Dienten and Mühlbach. In addition to the stunning natural backdrop of the Hochkönig region, the participating huts impress guests with their regional offerings. Accompanied by the hearty sounds of folk music groups, guests hike or bike from alpine hut to alpine hut. Guided tours with guides are also offered. There is music and dancing along the trails, and in some places alphorn players and brass bands play for hikers and bikers.

Culinary journey to traditional alpine specialties

Once they arrive at the mountain huts, guests can expect genuine mountain hut dishes. In culinary terms, the Hochkönig Roas is all about traditional dishes that have almost been forgotten. Each participating hut offers such a dish for guests. And so guests and locals can enjoy a Schottnsuppe, Pofesen, Bladl or the classic Pinzgauer Muas on this day.
