TOUR OF AUSTRIA

Once again this year, the 75th Lidl Tour of Austria will be making a stop in St. Johann in Salzburg. Stage 3 will take place on Friday, July 10, 2026 (the last day of school), covering 189 km and 2,315 meters of elevation gain from Lienz to St. Johann.

The third of a total of five stages will start on July 10, 2026, at 10:40 a.m. at the main square in Lienz. After a long climb toward the Felbertauern Tunnel, the route continues through the Pinzgau region, passing through Mittersill around 12:15 p.m., and then on into the Pongau region. Via Schwarzach (approx. 1:20 p.m.), the group reaches St. Johann im Pongau (approx. 1:26 p.m., B311 junction at Süd-Bahnhofstraße), before continuing via Bischofshofen (approx. 1:37 p.m.) and the Buchberg (approx. 1:45 p.m.) into the Fritztal valley (approx. 2:00 p.m.).

The route then continues via Eben (approx. 2:10 p.m.), Altenmarkt (approx. 2:15 p.m.), Reitdorf (approx. 2:17 p.m.) and Wagrain (approx. 2:28 p.m.) back to St. Johann im Pongau. There, the route follows Wagrainer Straße and crosses the city bridge into Industriestraße/Bahnhofstraße (approx. 2:40 p.m.), leading into the decisive final kilometers.

Although the final climb into Alpendorf is short, it is likely to play a decisive role in determining the outcome of the stage. The finish is expected between 2:45 p.m. and 3:15 p.m.

The road in Alpendorf will be completely closed during the following times:

• 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. (setup of the finish arch)

• 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (finish)
