1. MARZONER ALM
The perfect pleasure tour for E-MTBs.
The new Marzoner Alm pleasure tour around Kastelbell-Tschars that invites you to bike.
2. MONTESOLE & FLIPSI TRAIL
The Montesole Trail (Sunny Benny) is not called one of the most beautiful trails in the Alps for nothing. The trail, which can be ridden almost all year round, leads through the impressive cultural landscape of the Vinschgau Sonnenberg and offers a unique biking experience surrounded by sunshine, nature and panoramic views.
You can access the trail either conveniently using the St. Martin cable car or via the road from Kastelbell. Bikes are transported by cable car at certain times, while passengers are transported every hour. The ascent already rewards you with fantastic views of the Nörderberg and the surrounding glaciers and whets your appetite for the descent ahead.
After a short asphalt section of around one kilometer, trail no. 9 branches off into the first, pleasantly warming root section. After another short road section, the real trail enjoyment begins at the Birchaböden: flowing forest floors alternate with more technically challenging rocky passages and ensure varied riding fun.
For a cozy stop, both the Berggasthof and the Hofschank Oberkaser are perfect places to end the tour in a relaxed atmosphere.
The section over the suspension bridge is unfortunately no longer allowed to be ridden by mountain bike. Shortly before the suspension bridge, however, there is still the option of turning right onto trail no. 5 and riding down to Tiss (only for experienced riders, difficulty S3).
3. MONTONI TOUR
With E-Power towards the Ortler and via Trail 15 & 12 back to the valley.
We start in awe in the face of the Tschenglser Hochwand in Prad. Crossing the Suldenbach stream, we ride in a north-westerly direction past Agums along a meadow path to Lichtenberg. Here we enter the Stelvio National Park and begin the ascent on asphalt to the Lichtenberg fortress, which is well worth seeing, and then continue on gravel and forest road past the Pinethöfe farms and the Platzhof (1354 m) to the unmanaged Schartalm (1829 m). Here, coming out of the forest, you have a breathtaking view of the Venosta Valley mountains with King Ortler and his friends. Bringing a snack and enjoying the view at the foot of the Grossmontoni (1971 m) is a must here!
The reward for pedalling approx. 1000 meters in altitude follows shortly after the Schartalm in a bend: turn left with a short pushing passage into the easily overlooked 15er trail (S1/S2). According to locals, the 15er Trail is one of the most beautiful in the Vinschgau Valley and the 12er Trail, which connects to the 15er Trail after a short forest road ride above the Platzhof, leaves little to be desired for trail enthusiasts with a few hairpin bends all the way to Prad.
