In the Silbertal Valley – a leisurely streamside hike to the Fellimännle Inn

In Silbertal, after the Kristbergbahn valley station, continue to the hiking parking lot (pay station: €4.50) near the open-air theater. Cross the bridge to the festival grounds and follow the marked hiking trail into the valley. The trail climbs gently and follows the course of the Litz stream, sometimes winding up and down. Along the way, wooden structures invite you to stretch and do some exercises. There are always interesting things to discover and enchanting photo opportunities. The waterfall near the Teufelsbrücke, a collection of cairns beside the stream, interesting flowers and shrubs, farmers harvesting hay, rustic huts on the steep meadows… The Fellimännle Inn offers a lovely, nature-filled atmosphere and excellent regional cuisine, such as venison ragout, venison liver (whole or sliced), superb trout (pan-fried or poached), homemade apricot dumplings, or Kaiserschmarren…
