None other than deKern, bourgeoisly known as Thomas Kern, the driven, art-obsessed expressionist, meets Jens Pollak, the provocative self-taught artist. deKern, whose art is characterized by the urge to translate every emotion and observation into performance, paint, scrap and sound, meets Pollak, whose art oscillates between the beautiful and the offensive.

This artistic duet combines oil and acrylic paints with unusual materials such as sand, earth and glass to create works that incorporate photorealistic elements of pop art as well as pin-up and fetish painting. Together they break the boundaries of the ordinary and invite viewers to spend the evening in a world that hovers between urban Soho chic and East German provincialism, between the direct and the subtle, the familiar and the unfamiliar.
