Moderated reading and discussion with Jon Fosse and his translator Hinrich Schmidt-Henkel Moderated by Joachim Dicks (NDR Kultur)
Jon Fosse's narrative art is a prayer in prose, a revival of a literature that makes God appear and that is often forgotten in the postmodern world. His stories are a mixture of history and personal history that does not leave it at a simple accusation. The moderated reading also offers a unique opportunity to experience the Nobel Prize winner together with his translator. Hinrich Schmidt-Henkel has been translating the works of Jon Fosse for 30 years! Pianist Hideyo Harada will complement this reading with works by Edvard Grieg with atmospheric sounds on the grand piano.
