In the Zemmgrund, an enchanted side valley of the Zillertal, is the idyllic mountaineering village of Ginzling. The village lies at an altitude of 1,000 m above sea level and is surrounded by a majestic backdrop of several "three-thousand-meter peaks". From here, the "Gunggl" and the "Floitengrund" (trough valley) branch off as high valleys. From Ginzling we hike in about 1.5 hours through a magical forest, reminiscent of Ronja Räubertochter's home, up to the Maxhütte. There, a beautiful, almost mystical landscape awaits us - the Gunggl - where we can take a short circular hike as the mood takes us. Back we go, after a stop, in the Maxhütte, over the same way down.
