Passo, Carezza
The Eggentaler Dorfkuchl brings traditional, nearly forgotten Eggental dishes back to the table and puts a new spin on many of them.
Farmers’ wives and chefs from the Eggental cook recipes that were once commonplace but are now rarely found. With their knowledge and passion, the farmers’ wives of Welschnofen, Deutschnofen, and Steinegg are reviving the culinary tradition of the Eggental. The culinary experience is complemented by creative chefs who offer modern interpretations of selected dishes and refine them with new touches—including Thobias Pardeller from the Franzin Alm, Reinhard Daverda from the Hotel Pfösl, Philip Lochman from the Hotel Engel, and Gregor Eschgfäller from the gourmet restaurant Astra.
99% of the ingredients used in the dishes come from the Eggental valley. The beverages are also entirely local: From the farmers’ wives’ homemade juices to beer from the two breweries, Latemar Bier and Nöppbräu, and wine from the Pitzner and Gojer wineries.
Eat your way through our various food stations at the festival grounds in Welschnofen. The young brass band “Karerbrass” provides lively music.
A culinary event of a special kind: diverse, authentic, and always with a clear commitment to local origins.
