* Visit of the Owl park San Vigilio with Sonja

At the foot of the Natural Park, in the San Vigilio region you can see more than 30 different species of these birds of prey which come from all corners of the world. In the Owl Park you can experience the curiosities of the different species: Did you know that the barn owl is among the most widespread bird species of all, although you hardly ever see it? Or that the eagle owl used to be called "Jutzeule" in former times? And that the friendly and cute tawny owl has a wingspan of almost 1 metre? For ethical reasons no bird born and bred in the wild is a guest of this owl park, unless it needs essential care. At the zoological park, some very rare and particular birds who would probably be at serious risk of extinction in the wild, are also cared for.
