From the Schwabble parking lot, first hike up through the forest on trail AV722. Soon it becomes a bit steeper, the path winds upwards in serpentines. Here you come very close to the waterfall, which falls over the steep step to be overcome. Soon you have made it, you reach the outlet of the Tappenkarsee and hike the last few minutes leisurely along the western shore to the rustic Tappenkarseealm.
