Preparation of a herbal ointment from roots

In the fall, the powers of the plants retreat into their roots. This is how they draw strength for the cold winter and store valuable nutrients so that they can survive the icy days and sprout again in spring.

Now is the time for digging roots to harness the power of some plants for us.

We will get to know the ancient craft of the root digger and together we will dig, clean and process the root of the comfrey plant into an ointment.
