What is included?

Outdoor pool

Enjoy our outdoor and indoor bathing area in the 34 degree water, the bubble pot, the massage jets and the neck jet. Let your mind wander and follow the dance of the snowflakes or the play of the clouds on the bubble lounger.

Indoor pool

Take care of your skin and muscles at the massage jets - also in the indoor pool. Recharge your batteries in the bubble corner. Feel how the heated spring water invigorates you and contributes to your sense of well-being. And from Monday to Friday at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. we offer free, professionally led aqua gymnastics.

Grottos

The two grottos are located between the outdoor and indoor pools. The water temperature in the blue grotto is a good 20 degrees, in the red grotto just under 38 degrees. This is what makes Kneipp therapy so enjoyable and effective.

Relaxation room & spa garden

Relaxation in restful tranquillity is also part of the spa. Enjoy the sun terrace and our bathing garden in the middle of nature or the cozy atmosphere in the relaxation room when the weather is sunny and pleasant. Dream away on a waterbed, a heated lounger ideal for reading or fortify yourself with a delicious snack or a refreshing drink in our bistro.

Our healing water

For over 300 years, the Appenzell spa has been using a pure natural product, its own spring water with its valuable minerals and trace elements. It boosts the body's metabolism and immune system. This spring water is heated for you in three environmentally friendly ways: with heat recovery from our own facilities, via a long-distance pipeline with waste heat from the commercial operations in Heiden and, if required, with our own wood chip furnace. The electricity comes from 100% certified Swiss hydropower. We continue the natural tradition of spa bathing - for your health and for the protection of nature.

Sauna area and fitness use

For an extra charge, you can visit the sauna area with the Finnish outdoor sauna, herbal sauna and brine steam bath. This also applies to the modern fitness center with the latest generation of equipment.
