La Chandeleur - The day of the crêpe

On February 2, on Candlemas or 40 days after Christmas, the time has come: the whole of France eats crêpes. This is because February 2 is a Christian holiday, called LA CHANDELEUR by the French.

For Candlemas, a yellow crêpe symbolizes the sun - and therefore light!
