Hike Hochplatte

Hike the Hochplatte at 1,813 meters above sea level via the sunny Jägersteig trail and enjoy the magnificent panoramic view over the Jochalm and the Karwendel from one of the most beautiful panoramic peaks.

An entertaining ascent leads us via the Jägersteig trail through sparse mountain forest, past the Bründlalm (1,220 m) and the rustic Jochalm (1,410 m). The route continues past the Seewaldhütte over wide alpine meadows and a mountain path to the summit of the Hochplatte at 1,813 m. As the huts on this route are used for agricultural purposes but are not managed, we enjoy our summit rest with the provisions we have brought with us and a magnificent view of the surrounding mountains.

Refreshments: As it is not possible to stop for refreshments, packed lunches are included if you register by 18:00 the day before.

Bring along: Sturdy footwear (hiking boots), water bottle, weather-appropriate clothing and sun protection.

Prerequisites: Good physical condition for approx. 800 vertical meters and sure-footedness on red mountain paths.
